ABOUT THE VENUE

India International Centre

India International Centre

The India International Centre (IIC) is a non-official organisation situated in New DelhiIndia. Membership of the IIC includes artists, academicians, senior government officials, judges, jurists, parliamentarians, doctors, ministers, governors, social activists, journalists and persons from other domains. It serves as a meeting place for cultural and intellectual offerings while maintaining its non-official character, non-aligned motivations and remains uncommitted to any particular form of governmental, political, economic or religious affiliation.

The centre's main complex and its annex (located adjacent to Lodhi Gardens) were designed by the architect Joseph Allen Stein. There are several other major institutions around the centre, which are also designed by Stein, giving the area the popular name of 'Steinabad'.

REACHING THE INDIAN INTERNATIONAL CENTRE

From Indira Gandhi International Airport:

  • By Car/Taxi: Approximately a 30-minute drive (15 km) via NH48 and Sardar Patel Marg, depending on traffic.

  • By Metro: Take the Airport Express Line to New Delhi Station, transfer to the Yellow Line towards HUDA City Centre, and alight at Jor Bagh Station. From there, it's a short auto-rickshaw or taxi ride to the venue.

From New Delhi Railway Station:

  • By Car/Taxi: Around a 20-minute drive (8 km) via Janpath Road.

  • By Metro: Board the Yellow Line towards HUDA City Centre and disembark at Jor Bagh Station. The venue is a brief ride from there.
